A talented, human monk who wishes to become absolutely powerful in order to shape the world to his views. He believes those talented enough to become powerful are destined to become those who control the direction of society.

His control and manipulation of Ki are unrivalled, even by the strongest Monks of the Shiver Peak Monastery.

Only his mentor and Aiwin Xyrbanise were able to keep him focused before he disappeared to begin a sudden pilgrimage for new powers.

Zomon’s parents died when he was young, and he was adopted by a man named Mura; one of the elders of his village.

Mura raised Zomon Truthtaker as one of his own and began to teach him the long-lost art of Ki Manipulation. Zomon Truthtaker took to the art immediately and became obsessed with learning more every day.

One day, when Zomon was still a child and the village was experiencing a longer than usual dry season, Mura instructed him to hide in a cupboard while an angry mob of villagers stormed Mura’s residence. Zomon watched as Mura tried to disengage the situation but was forced to defend himself from the increasingly violent mob.

Zomon was helpless as Mura’s age caught up to him against so many attackers - leading to him sustaining lethal damage. Zomon sprung out of the cupboard in a fit of rage and attacking the mob; catching many of them off guard and taking them out in moments.

Following an extended fight with the leader of the mob, Zomon tended to Mura’s injuries but failed to call forth any Ki to heal the man he knew as a father. Mura’s last words steeled Zomon’s resolve, and he decided there and then that he would never refrain from using his power ever again.

Zomon held a funeral for Mura before heading North towards Shiver Peak; the tallest mountain in the land of Feldon, where he had heard Mura’s previous disciples had gone to train.

Years passed before Zomon was able to find Shiver Peak Monastery and upon arrival was disappointed to discover that none of the people he was hoping to find were still there. From what he was told; it seemed many of them hadn’t even made it that far. Only Mura’s single biological son; Shin, ended up studying at the monastery for any amount of time.

Zomon became the youngest person ever to complete any of the Monk entrance tests, specifically, the Test of Power. At only 14 years old, Zomon was training with the second-highest ranking Monk at the monastery; a man known as Zephyr Glyde.

Zomon’s talents and raw power flourished under his mentor’s tutelage, and for a time he learned to control his rage entirely; allowing him to pass both the Test of Mind and the Test of Patience with relative ease.

By the age of 20 he had mastered Ki manipulation and bested even Aiwin Xyrbanise and Zephyr Glyde in sparring and competition matches; although he felt both of them were still holding back. He began experimenting with the capabilities of his Ki while channelling his rage to enforce physical transformations; eventually managing to perform physical feats like levitation/autonomous flight.

Zomon wished to demonstrate his newfound powers to the council but was dissuaded by Zephyr Glyde and instead encouraged to begin practice for the mastery exam.

Zomon began having nightmares about a man in a mask whispering that “the Violet Horde is coming.” shortly after unlocking his new power. After months of letting him eat away at him - he knew he had to try talking to Mura about it.

Over the next several years, training for his Mastery Exam, Zomon began attempting to extend his spirit via his Ki and project it into the spiritual world.

Shortly before his exam, Zomon managed to speak to Mura in the afterlife. Mura knew what the now-young-man had come to talk to him about but refused to divulge much information because the boy had allowed power to cloud and corrupt his soul. “You have much left to learn, my son…” were the last words Mura said before ejecting him from the spirit world. That night, he had his first nightmare since he resolved to speak with Mura - the voice however invited him to make his way to The Sword Coast on the continent of Edon.

Zomon left the monastery the next day with a public display of his new powers, following a very short goodbye with Zephyr Glyde. Aiwin Xyrbanise stood between Zomon for a moment before gesturing for him to leave.

Zomon headed towards The Sword Coast first via flight and then via more discrete methods as to not attract attention.

Months passed before Zomon arrived in Neverwinter to confront the man from his nightmares. Unfortunately for Zomon’s, the man never revealed himself and no one had any idea who he was talking about. Through sheer coincidence, Zomon did manage to meet Shin; Mura’s only biological son, and they began discussing the nightmares. The two bonded over their shared experiences being Mura’s student, however, Zomon didn’t share that the man had died in combat - instead saying it was due to natural causes. Shortly after this, his nightmares ceased occurring.

Shin invited Zomon to a group of rebel activists set on taking down Dagult Neverember; the Lord Protector of Neverwinter, called the Alagondar Trust.

As part of his initiation into the group of rebels, Zomon was tasked with stealing items of importance from Dagult Neverember’s vault while the other members kept him busy with an audience.

Zomon had little issue sneaking into the vault, but carelessly set off an alarm in the process of searching for the item they were searching for; a magical belt called Thin Heir. Zomon managed to escape with the item but was seen and recognised by townsfolk before he could hand over the item to Shin and the other members of the Alagondar Trust. He fled south via a cart; avoiding the regular use of his power as to not incite fear and further investigation.

Zomon arrived in Phandalin on the 7th of Sapphirus, 802 Ag and pawned Thin Heir off to Elmar Barthen of Barthen’s Provisions as he continued to hide from the agents of Ember’s Rule that were following after him.

By 14th of Sapphirus, 802 Ag, Zomon has been lying low in Phandalin under the protection of Halia Thornton due to their shared distaste of Dagult Neverember. He has tried numerous times to reach out to Shin, Zephyr Glyde, and Mura via the spirit world, but every time he tries he experiences his nightmares again - hearing the voice say “the Violet Horde is coming…”

Zomon is currently on edge due to hearing Dagult Neverember introduce his presence in the town and that he is running in the upcoming election for a new Townmaster’s Hand.
