Laws and standards are set by the Townmaster to allow for better political relations with larger towns and allow for the stable growth of the town.

The second-in-command within Phandalin. They aid the local businesses on a day-to-day basis and make sure things are operating smoothly.

The position is currently un-occupied following the discovery of the death of Joseph Grimm; the previous holder of the title.

A bar, brothel, and inn all-in-one. Located underneath the town in the ruins of some long forgotten stone structure presumably built by the town’s previous population many centuries ago.

Phandalin was once a flourishing city in The Sword Coast before it became a Splinter World. It was known for it’s constantly reconfiguring and adjusting enchantment that allowed it grow naturally as the needs of the civilians changed. When The Splinter finally took hold in Edon - it damaged the power core that drove the city; causing it to change in horrific and terrible ways. The city killed almost everyone who called it home.

The city fell to ruin after numerous failed expeditions to shut down the power core failed - hoping it would eventually run dry and lay dormant. The city was forgotten by the early Bronze Era as roads were repaved to steer clear of the city.

Something in 790 Ag, Halia Thornton’s Ex Husband rediscovered some of the surface ruins of Phandalin and with the people of Triyana - specifically Amylthas and Neverwinter, reconnected the area to civilization. The efforts led to repopulation of the city as a trade stop between Neverwinter and Hockton. Unbeknownst to the new inhabitants; the city was only sleeping, conserving power with no civilians to recharge from. As the city grew in size and population; the city began to reawaken.

In 802 Ag; the appearance of The Bussy Knights and Amylthas brought enough energy for the city to start changing again. The Sisters of The Wight also attempted to harvest the city’s power core but were unknowingly thwarted by Mike Hawk and Fill Werrell.

Part of the damage to the city’s power core led to a malfunction on it’s temporal accelerator, causing it affect the perception of time on the city. The damage was corrected by the city when it reconfigured following the Phandalin Election concluding.

Some astute people passing through Phandalin had noticed a shift in the passage of time but no one had managed to investigate it further.

Kellam Oladi; thanks to his family’s wealth of historical artefacts and texts, have managed to recover some of the lost history of Phandalin before The Fracture.

Kellam is the only person alive who knows the true name of the city; and is investigating why it has suddenly re-awakened.
