  • Wu reveals talks with Grinch and mark on arm, Fill investigates and unintentionally hurts him
  • Delilah makes acquaintances with party and introduces whispers
  • Wu recovers and explains what he’d been up to and what he’d heard
  • Del and Leo’Kan reconnect with Illsaiim; who learns where Quinton has been hiding for these past 16 years. They ask that they not mention to Leodel they’re here so they can meet natural.
  • Del and LKan leave to attend to business while party make way to Trust HQ to warn them about Krymetime Krew.
  • Fail to keep an eye out are ambushed by two grunts and larger male wearing an odd device on belt

Housekeeping

  • New DND rules are being published later this year
    • This campaign will continue using the Revised 2014 rules
    • If the new rules are successful - I’m happy to buy the books and start a new campaign with them, not entirely sure about porting a campaign midway in case it negatively affects one player too much
    • Better to start from the beginning

Review

LAST WE LEFT OFF

  • The party awoke in the Alagondar Trust tavern after some minorly suspicious activities that turned out to be just Darren Brigg having a weak stomach and liver.
  • Illsaiim beat Darren in an archery contest the following day.
  • Marsha spoke with you at the library and gave you a run down of the events since Dagult was slain.
  • Alison offered you gold in return for finding a book that Wu Tang had taken with him and not returned - she also seemed a little worried for him having left in the middle of the night.
  • Fill spoke to Valda Faye about [[]]
  • As you searched for Wu Tang you eventually ran into him unintentionally both chasing after the case Black Dragonborn woman wearing a green cloak. She invited you into an unexplored area of the city as it wasn’t safe to talk in the open.
  • Mike eventually mentioned the similarities to your former party member Leodel and some of you noticed a look of surprise on her face for a split second.
  • The woman introduced herself as Delilah Nabal and another Dragonborn male with her; her husband, Leo’kan before mentioning what Mike had said to her husband.

Bridge

AND THAT IS WHERE WE WILL PICK UP…

  • Leo’kan and Delilah Nabal confer with party about Leodel and their story.
    • They want to find their son naturally so they don’t want the party to say anything to him if they find him first.
    • Any mention of the belt will arouse some recognition in the two of them that a DC13 insight check can detect.

The Whisperers

”You notice that everyone you’ve seen in this complex is wearing the same dark green robes and grey underclothes. The only people who aren’t seem to be either scared or are trying to avoid being noticed as they are escorted by someone in a cloak.”

Delilah will introduce a group of people from Neverwinter called The Whisperers who help smuggle people out of the city.

”I am the leader of The Whisperers - a smuggling group that focuses on rescuing those trapped within this city since Dagult took over. When my father ran the group we had some more uncouth operations but we turned over a new leaf after Prince Dante encourage us to help those in need over those in power.”

Leodel interlude

”It is a quiet sunny morning at the Lost Cub Orphanage and it feels oddly familiar waking up here again after leaving years ago.

You recall struggling to fall asleep at first as you pondered the truth that Quinton had shared with you. You have been chosen as the heir to the Alagondar Family throne in Neverwinter.

Most of the previous day and night had been spent answering any questions you had about the reality presented to you.

The last words Quinton said to you stuck with you until slept took you."

"Which name will you choose?"

"Some think I read into this too much but I know that names have meaning and I definitely believe that names carry power, and that is your advantage Leodel.

You are not just Leodel as you have lived your entire life; you are ‘Leodel of Three Names’. You arrived here today knowing one and will leave knowing a second, maybe in the city you will learn the third.

When you take the throne, and I truly believe you will, I wonder which name you will choose?”

Forwards

  • Delilah and Leo’kan will offer their help against Oskar if asked.

  • Returning the book to Alison

    • Mentions off the cuff that she thought she saw a green blur head towards the Sect but she must’ve been seeing things AND then also mentions she saw a kid on the other side of town playing with an oddly decorated glass orb that she thought was pretty.
    • DC21 investigation check to find a tuft of green fur caught on a corner of something that was obscured.

  • Fight with Krymetime Krew grunts

    • 1x Adaptus Armour
    • 2x Hand Cannon
    • 1x Sniper
    • Either outside the library/sect OR outside The Whisperers’ hideout if the party dilly dally too much.

  • Depending how early in the timeline this combat happens:

  • Set up the visuals of the Krymetime Krew marching down the centre of the city from Casino Cillian

If we get to this fight - both of them will wear Adaptus armour and have increased stats from their last fight - play it by ear.
