Led to Vaa’ruul’s massive uptick in militarism and fascism
Olto suffered massive losses in 1452 Br after Vaa’ruul deployed an experimental arcane weapon known as a Weave Nexus. It ravaged the entire Northeast of the continent; twisting the life forms there into abominations.
Feldon lost a lot of ground due to Amylthas’s reconnaissance and forced to make a full retreat.
Small skirmishes between Edon and Olto occurred for the next few months until a full surrender was announced as Olto largely recused itself from the world to deal with internal matters.
Amylthas used it’s large influence to largely cover it’s involvement in the entire process and Vaa’ruul willingly claimed sole possession of the title of victors.
Historians marked the switching of dominant world powers from Olto and Feldon to Edon as the end of the Bronze Era and beginning of the Silver Era.
Esska had grown bored with Mortal and decided to manipulate events to entice power hungry individuals towards Shadow Cove - a mysterious location.
Esska; disguised as different Gods, promised the leaders of Olto and Feldon power and their blessing if they found a treasure at Shadow Cove - starting an arms race between the two countries.
Esska waited patiently for one side to gain a substantial advantage to see how desperate the other side would get and what chaos she could inject to keep herself entertained. Eventually she grew bored with the stalwart nature of the combat and began to sew seeds in Edon; specifically in Vaa’ruul.
After Vaa’ruul proved more entertaining than she’d first thought - she returned to the war to see it had still prolonged. She intervened and promised Vaa’ruul’s leader the same thing she had promised the others and gave them seriously dangerous magical artifacts to experiment with.
The Brightmother ordered all of the Gods to restrict their contact with Mortal life for the foreseeable future - a decree which has stayed in place for upwards of 800 years by 802 Ag.
