Born in the town of Loggerstead on the continent of Olto in 784 Ag to Jenthro Longwood and Griselda Longwood, Graxious Longwood I was raised to be aware of the cruelty and evil in the world, and to take pride in his work. He always shared his mother’s love of adventure and lust for life.

After the death of his mother, he followed her lead and joined the Fire Fists; becoming a Paladin of Elatia. He swore to honour his Mother’s cause and avenge her death.

He arrived in Phandalin shortly After the 14th of Sapphirus following a lead about his Mother’s killers.

Backstory

Lucky enough to be born into a comfortable home, Graxious grew up in a loving one too.

His father, Jenthro Longwood, was an aristocrat who taught him about the cruel and evils of the world whilst also teaching him to have a sense of pride in everything he did. His mother, Griselda Longwood, worked as a Cleric for the Fire Fists. She was kind and loving and an adventurer at heart which inspired Graxious to always seek more in life.

In 796 Ag; at the age of 12,Graxious was running an errand with his mother to the neighbouring town but was ambushed by bandits. He wasn’t strong enough to fight back, so he had to watch his mother die in front of him. He was found by a wandering patrol who found him battered and bruised with a cut across his lip and left eye. After this tragic event Graxious joined the Fire Fists vowing to take revenge on his mothers killers.

Relationships

Jenthro Longwood - Father

Taught Graxious the importance of taking pride in your work and about the politics of the world. After the death of Griselda Longwood, their relationship became more and more distant. They haven’t spoken or seen each other since Graxious joined the Fire Fists.

Griselda Longwood - Mother

Taught Graxious to have a lust-for-life nature and to always seek adventure. Loved her Son deeply and always made that known to him. She protected him during the bandit attack and made sure he would be able to escape before succumbing to her wounds.

Eliana Longwood - Half-sister

Graxious has only ever heard about his half-sister from his father. She disappeared one day and hasn’t been seen since.

Elatia - Deity

Since the loss of his Mother, Graxious become quite a pious person in the name of The Heartflame. He sees her as Motherly figure.

How old were you when you Mother died?

Graxious was 12 when his mother was killed

How did you Father react when you were brought home?

Graxious was escorted home by the wandering patrol after the incident. Jenthro was heartbroken and enraged.

What is Graxious’ biggest fear and his happiest memory?

Graxious biggest fear is losing a loved one while being helpless to stop it. His happiest memories were cooking with his mother when he was young.

The journey from Olto to Edon is either very dangerous (via Dead-Cold Depths) or did you take the long way via Feldon and then to Edon.

Graxious went the long way to Edon and went through Feldon.

What is your relationship with Elatia like? How pious/religious is Graxious?

Graxious’ relationship with his god Elatia is unwavering and stronger than ever. He is proud of his religion and Elatia is seen as somewhat of a motherly figure to him.

Graxious’ mother never spoke about her family. His father on the other hand has a brother who’s also an aristocrat. Jenthro had a daughter with another women years before he met Griselda. Graxious knows little about her just that she disappeared one night and was never seen again. Her name was Eliana Longwood.

What God are you a Paladin of?

I just read who Elatia is and it fits Graxious perfectly.

You see a helpless person being attacked by a violent creature, how do you proceed?

Rush to the aid of the person, ensuring their survival above all else.

You realise you’ve made a mistake, how do you proceed?

Admit fault , and try his best to make up for it or help with the solution.

You are given a large sum of gold to share amongst you and your allies, how you split it?

Evenly amongst his allies. Anyone who fights besides him are worthy of his trust and respect.
