What is the summary of the events of this plot point?
Long ago - a mortal universe; not unlike the one that Mor’Thal is part of, fractured and sent shards; later known as Spliters, of itself hurtling throughout the multiverse until they could find a safe resting place.
Upon landing these Splinter Worlds altered the course of history for the universes they now inhabited and “overwrote” the places they took the place of.
One of these Splinter Worlds found it way to Mor’Thal and overwrote the South-Western coast of one of the continents. This splinter would one day be called The Sword Coast.
The Fracturing also caused a chain reaction that led to the manifestation of the Violet Horde - a collective of creatures that can adapt to a variety of universes and are equipped to correct the “overwriting” done by the Splinter Worlds. They also exude energy that allows them to smooth over paradoxes in the Universes they haven’t visited yet while diverting the attention of most Mortals from acknowledging them.
